Second Directioner Interview

In order to understand why a fad remains popular, we must understand how it was able to rise to fame in the first place. For this interview, I chose to question a "Directioner" who has been a long time 'on and off' fan of One Direction. This helped create a perspective of why the band is popular, through the eyes of someone who is a fan. Through the series of questions asked, I learned how great a role the Internet played in the real creation and mass distribution of the band and its music. However, this technique is not new, as many pop culture icons have also 'gone online' as a recruiting method to draw attention to themselves. Now, think for yourselves a moment. What other foreign pop culture fads have you been exposed to (and have thus become a fan of) because of the Internet's presence? This world-wide phenomenon was catalyzed by the Internet and the connections between individuals that it creates. We all are familiar with things like Gangdam Style, Nyan Cat, and the Trolololol song that originated in foreign countries. So, how far do you personally think the Internet goes in such promotions? Post a comment with and answer if you wish.
Until next time, 1Directioner Post, out.
